General Information
What are Riding Modes?
FlowRider is able to be run in 2 modes – Bodyboarding mode (recommended for beginners) and Stand Up mode (intermediate riders). During the day, FlowRider operates in body boarding mode. Guests wishing to try Stand Up mode are able to purchase NightRider tickets to ride after park closes on Friday Nights.
What should I wear when riding FlowRider?
Riders are advised to wear rashies, T-shirts, board shorts or wetsuits. Clothing with metal or sharp objects on them are not permitted as they may damage the soft ride surface. Dreamworld recommends riders do not wear Bikini’s or swim suits as the force of the water may affect.
Can I hire a wetsuit at Dreamworld?
No, wetsuits are not available for hire at Dreamworld.
Am I able to bring my own bodyboard?
No. Flowboards and bodyboards may only be provided by Dreamworld.
Can I get a refund?
No, the FlowPass non refundable and cannot be transferred to another session or date. Cancellation fee is 100%.
Can I give the tickets to someone else if I cannot come now?
Yes, tickets are transferable to another rider.
How old must I be to ride?
You must be at least 110cm to ride.
FlowPasses
What is a FlowPass?
A FlowPass must be purchased before guests may ride FlowRider. A $5 FlowPass entitles riders to a 30 minute flowboarding session. Maximum 15 riders per session.
How can I purchase a FlowPass?
FlowPassses may be purchased at FlowRider when you arrive at Dreamworld. Bookings should be made upon arrival on the day as tickets are limited. Limited FlowRider sessions are available online, you may purchase these sessions before arrival on www.dreamworld.com.au
Can I pre purchase a $5 FlowPass a future date?
No. Tickets purchased at Dreamworld may only be purchased for that day. Tickets purchased online are available for up to 4 weeks in advance. (Limited sessions are available online).
Can I purchase a FlowPass ticket by itself without the general admission ticket to Dreamworld?
No, you must have a valid Dreamworld ticket to gain admission to FlowRider.
Can I purchase more than one Flowpass at a time?
FlowPasses purchased at FlowRider are not limited, however, all riders must be present upon time of booking. Limit of one FlowPass per rider per session applies. Riders may only be booked into one FlowRider session at any given time. Riders wishing to book into more then one session in a day may not purchase their second session until the first session is complete. Maximum of 4 FlowPasses may be purchased online in a transaction.
Can I purchase annual FlowPass?
No, annual FlowPass are not available for FlowRider, however you can {purchase Dreamworld Annual Pass.
Will you be offering discount on Flowpasses for Max Action Pass holders?
No. All guests must purchase a FlowPass for an additional $5 upon arrival.
When purchasing a FlowPass online, can you incorporate or purchase day pass to Dreamworld in the one transaction?
Yes, by adding your selected tickets to the Cart by pressing “Update Cart” button on the bottom of the shopping page, you can then view and purchase both Dreamworld pass & FlowPass in one transaction.
NightRider
What is NightRider?
NightRider gives riders the opportunity to flowboard for 1 full hour with only 11 other riders after Dreamworld closes. Spectators are invited to attend and watch for only $5. All riders and spectators are welcome to stay for the entire evening if they wish.
What are NightRider Session Times?
NightRider is currently being held every Friday Night. Additional nights may become available during summer. The first sessions to go on sale are 5pm and 6pm. As each session sells out, another session is released for sale the following hour (ie – 7pm, 8pm, 9pm).
How can I purchase a NightRider pass?
NightRider passeses must be purchased before arrival on www.dreamworld.com.au or by phone the booking centre on (07) 5556 1111
Can I purchase a NightRider ticket by itself without the general admission ticket to Dreamworld?
Yes, NightRiders do not require a Dreamworld ticket – only a NightRider or Spectator pass. Only the FlowRider precint is open during NightRider – the remainder of the park remains closed, therefore a Dreamworld ticket is not required.
Can I pre purchase a NightRider pass for a future date?
Yes, NightRider tickets are available 4 weeks in advance.
Can we purchase more than one NighrRider Pass at a time?
Yes, you are able to purchase up to 12 tickets for each session, but only one pass per rider. If riders do not arrive on the night, the spot may be sold to another rider and refunds will not be given.
Can I bodyboard during the NightRider session or is it stand up only?
NightRiders may ride in both bodyboard and stand up modes.
Exclusive Use/Group Bookings
How long can I book FlowRider for?
FlowRider can be booked for either a 2 hour or 3 hour session.
Can I do 1 hour for a private session?
One hour sessions are available as part of NightRider each Friday.
Only a 2 or 3 hour session is available for a private function.
How much will it cost?
2 hour session is $800.
3 hour session is $1200.
Can we pay when we arrive?
No. Full payment must be made 48hr prior to event.
Is there a minimum or maximum amount of people for a group booking?
There is no minimum number for group bookings.
Maximum for 2 hours is 20 riders and 20 spectators.
Maximum for 3 hours is 40 riders and 40 spectators.
Can spectators become riders?
Yes. All spectators should come prepared to ride with appropriate attire.
Can our 2 hour session start at 8pm and finish at 10?
No. All group bookings start at 6pm unless otherwise organised with Dreamworld.
Can I book a midnight event?
No. All booking must come to an end by 10pm.
Will food be provided?
A sausage sizzle can be organised to be served within the first hour of the group booking.
Can we bring our own food?
No. Food and Beverage is available for purchase at selected outlets until at least 8pm or a sausage sizzle can be arranged.
Can we buy or bring our own alcohol?
No. Group bookings for FlowRider are alcohol free events.
