Dreamkids Healthy Habits - NEW PROGRAM
This fun new self directed program exposes students to
healthy lifestyle concepts through the exploration of physical
activity, sun safety and healthy eating while at WhiteWater World or
Dreamworld. Students study the concepts and propose initiatives that
could be implemented to promote healthy and balanced lifestyle choices
for guests.
Save the Bilby
This exciting new program gives your class the chance to be actively involved with a conservation issue. Your students will learn about the bilby with an exclusive 30 minute talk with a Wildlife Officer. An optional post-visit project encourages students to take their knowledge one step further and to raise awareness abou the plight of the bilby in the wild. Together with the Save the Bilby Fund and Dreamworld this is a chance for your class to really make a difference!
Ride Science
This all new series of interactive activities will inspire and excite students in Years 4 through 7 as they discover force, motion and energy like they have never experienced them before. Tailored exclusively for Dreamworld and linked intricately with both the Queensland Science Syllabus Essential Learnings and the Queensland Science Syllabus Outcomes, this program throws students into a new and dynamic approach to exploring the world around them.
Dream Safari
Take a walk on the wild side when your students go on safari. Targeting
students in P-3, this program provides an educational and motivational
experience for young children to encourage an early appreciation of the
needs and unique adaptiations of living things. While on safari,
students can visit either Tiger Island or the Austrailan Wildife
Experience, or complete a program that incorporates both. A
curriculum-linked workbook containing pre- and post-visit activities is
available.
Connecting with Tigers
A conservation partnership between Dreamworld, teachers and students to
help save tigers in the wild! This program consists of a 30 minute
exclusive talk and introduction to a tiger handler at Tiger Island and
an optional post visit project that encourages students to be actively
involved in fundraising and building awareness to ensure that these
unique and fascinating animals continue to survive in the wild. The
tiger talk can be tailored to suit the needs of your students. Topics
include diet, behaviours, adaptations and conservation issues.
