APPLYING FOR A JOB

If we don’t have your dream job available right now, don’t stress! Create a general employment profile by visiting HERE, upload your resume, and then choose some preferences for the jobs that you would be interested in (e.g. Food and Beverage, Entertainment, Attractions and Aquatics etc.). The system will then automatically alert you to any new positions as they are advertised.

 

OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS

Our recruitment process generally follows the steps below:

 

  1. Candidate Application Received
    1. When a candidate submits an application, their profile is added into the applicant pool for review by the responsible hiring manager(s)

  2. Shortlisted Candidates are contacted
    1. This may be for a discussion about your application, or a request for you to book in to an individual or group interview session

  3. Interviews take place
    1. Depending on the role, we conduct a mixture of individual interviews with the hiring managers or supervisors, group interview sessions (consisting of a range of information and activities), auditions for performing roles, or other relevant skills-based tests.

  4. Reference/Background checks performed
    1. In most cases, we conduct reference checks on our prospective team members. It’s a good idea to include 2 current references in your application (preferably previous managers or supervisors who can attest to your work performance). Physically demanding roles will require you to undergo a health assessment and for some roles, we will also require external checks to be performed (criminal history etc). You will be advised of the role requirements during the interview process.

  5. Successful candidates receive offer of employment
    1. Our team will call you with your offer

  6. Unsuccessful candidates are notified
    1. We don’t like to leave our candidates hanging – we will let you know by email one way or another the outcome of your application.

ONLINE APPLICATIONS

Due to the volume of applications we receive for our roles, all applications must be submitted online, and we are unable to accept emailed or posted copies of resumes.

Candidates will require a valid email address in order to apply for roles with us at Dreamworld.

 

RESUME

It is recommended that you attach a resume to your application, as it is a clear summation of your career history to date. Our online application process will allow you to upload your resume, and will allow you to use this to fill out the online application, saving you time!

If you do not have a resume you can manually insert information about your previous employment, study, qualifications etc. in to your candidate profile.

 

MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS

If there are multiple positions advertised that you are interested in, you are welcome to submit an application for more than one position at a time. Please make sure that you are applying for positions that match your skills and experience, as your application will be considered against the requirements of each role you apply for.

It’s important to ensure that you upload a relevant copy of your CV to each application you submit to ensure that the manager reviewing sees all of the relevant information to support your application.

 

TIMEFRAMES

Each recruitment process is unique, and due to the large volumes of applications that we receive it may take us a number of weeks to progress through our process. Rest assured that you will be advised of the status of your application by phone/email as the recruitment process progresses, so keep an eye on your emails (including your Junk emails) to ensure you don’t miss an update or request. (Emails from our recruitment system will always come from ‘Ardent Leisure eRecruit’).

 

FORGOTTEN PASSWORDS

If you’ve previously applied for a role or created a profile and have forgotten your password, our forgotten password tool will help you out! At the login page, you should click the ‘Forgot Password’ option, and answer your secret question to reset your password. If you get stuck – feel free to get in touch with the People & Culture team who will be happy to help you out!

 

ERRORS/WITHDRAWING APPLICATION

If you’ve made a mistake during your application, or wish you withdraw your application, you can log in to the eRecruit website, click on the ‘My Submissions’ tab, and edit your application or withdraw your application as appropriate. You can also contact the People & Culture team for assistance.

 

NON-RESIDENTS

Dreamworld requires all applicants to hold valid working rights within Australia. If you hold a valid visa with work rights, we are happy to accept your application for any available, advertised positions.
