Do we have to book an educational program?  No, you don’t it is optional. You’re welcome to visit Dreamworld for a leisure day only.  Can we combine a leisure day with a program?  Absolutely! Many schools choose to enjoy the park and add a program to enrich their visit. It’s a great way to balance fun and learning in one day.  How much do educational programs cost? Educational programs are available at an additional cost. Pricing can vary depending on your group size and selected program, reach out to our team for a tailored quote or download our Booking form for more information.  What year levels are the programs suitable for?  Our programs are designed to suit a range of year levels, from primary through to senior students. Our programs are designed to align with your curriculum.  How long do the programs run?  Program durations can vary, but most sessions typically run from 30 - 60 minutes depending on the program and group size. Where possible, sessions are generally scheduled prior to park open to help schools make the most of their time in the park.  How many students can attend a program?  Group sizes can vary depending on the program. As Australia’s biggest theme park, Dreamworld is well equipped to host school groups of all sizes, with a range of spaces and experiences to suit your needs.  What subjects do the programs align with?  Our programs support a variety of subjects, including science, geography, business, tourism, design, and hospitality - bringing real-world learning to life in an exciting environment.

Are teachers and supervisors required?  Yes. Teachers and supervising adults are required to accompany students throughout the visit, including during any booked programs.  What happens if it rains?  Dreamworld operates in most weather conditions, and there’s plenty to explore across indoor and outdoor experiences. Educational programs will go ahead as planned unless advised otherwise. Can students explore the park outside of program times? Absolutely! We encourage cohorts to explore and enjoy the park after their scheduled program, giving them the chance to experience rides, wildlife, and more.  What should we bring?  Ensure each participant has comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, sunscreen, a hat, and a refillable water bottle. Consider bringing lunch money or ordering food on our booking form if the excursion spans over a mealtime.  Is there bus parking?  Plenty of Coach parking is available at the front entry on the left-hand side of Dreamworld’s main Carpark.

How do I report lost property?  If you lose an item while in the park, please visit our Guest Services team at the front entry, who will be happy to assist you. Alternatively, you can call us on (07) 5588 1111.

Is there an evacuation procedure in place?  Yes. Dreamworld has a comprehensive emergency plan developed in partnership with emergency services, which outlines the procedures our team follows in the event of an emergency. All staff are trained in emergency response actions and safe evacuation protocols. For more information, please visit our Park Safety page.  What are the park protocols for lost children? If a child becomes separated from their group, please notify a staff member immediately. Our Security Control team will alert staff across the park via radio, and our Guest Services team will care for the child until they are safely reunited with their group.

Are there food options available for school groups?  Yes! there are plenty of food and beverage options available throughout our venues to suit a range of tastes and dietary needs. Discounted group meal options can also be pre-booked through our Education Booking Form.

What if we need to reschedule our excursion date?

We understand that plans can change and are happy to accommodate date changes where possible. To help us adjust staffing and make the necessary preparations, we kindly ask for a minimum of 72 hours’ notice.

Is there a room that religious schools can use for prayer?

Yes. Dreamworld has a multi-faith room available for guests to use, equipped with prayer mats, privacy curtains and a foot washing basin.
