Bilby Week is back and cuter than ever, so hop on down to Dreamworld from April 3 to April 9 for a special celebration full of family-friendly activities designed to raise awareness for our fuzzy friends!

Meet the greater bilby (Macrotis lagotis), one of Australia’s most charming little night-time adventurers. With its oversized bunny-like ears, silky grey fur, and long pointed nose, the bilby looks like it hopped straight out of a storybook.
These shy marsupials spend their nights sniffing out insects, seeds, and fungi, digging enthusiastically with their powerful claws like tiny desert gardeners. By day, they snooze safely in cool spiral burrows hidden beneath the sand. Once found across much of Australia, bilbies are now much rarer, but conservation efforts are helping give this big-eared digger a brighter future 🐾🌙
