Theme Park Employee - Commercial

The Theme Park Employee – Commercial supports park operations by delivering exceptional guest experiences across Food & Beverage and Retail outlets throughout the theme park.

Key responsibilities & tasks

The role combines guest service, food and beverage operations, merchandising, sales, and operational support to ensure guests enjoy safe, memorable, and engaging dining and shopping experiences. Commercial team members play an important role in maintaining presentation standards, operational efficiency, food safety, and service quality while contributing to the overall success of the park’s commercial operations.

Guest service and commercial operations

  • Delivering friendly, proactive, and engaging guest service
  • Assisting guests with food, beverage, merchandise, and purchasing decisions
  • Providing product knowledge, menu guidance, features, and benefits
  • Processing POS transactions (cash and EFTPOS) accurately
  • Supporting upselling, suggestive selling, and add-on sales opportunities
  • Maintaining a professional and positive approach during busy service periods

Food and beverage operations

  • Preparing and serving food and beverage items
  • Maintaining portion control and product consistency
  • Supporting outlet opening and closing procedures
  • Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards in line with HACCP requirements
  • Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
  • Supporting stock rotation and kitchen organisation using FIFO principles

Retail operations and merchandising

  • Maintaining stock levels on the shop floor and storage areas
  • Ensuring correct ticketing, pricing, and security tagging
  • Supporting stock replenishment, rotation, and presentation standards
  • Assisting with stocktakes and internal transfers
  • Maintaining visually appealing retail and service environments
