Strawman V6.7 is Ajuga School’s experimental next-generation Nature Guardian. Traditional scarecrows were designed to frighten wildlife away, but V6.7 has been reprogrammed after identifying that wildlife isn’t the real threat to our natural environment.

Its new threat-detection system is surprisingly simple: if you understand why it keeps doing 6–7, you’re probably not the demographic it’s worried about. Inspired by our students’ connection to meme culture, V6.7 reflects our optimism that young people can become the next generation of Nature Guardians — bringing new ideas, attitudes and a stronger sense of responsibility for the world they will inherit. Built largely from reused and repurposed materials and powered entirely by a 12V solar energy system, its rough, shed-built design combines student engineering, renewable energy, conservation and humour.

V6.7 might be built to scare off humans, but ultimately its message is hopeful: the next generation already understands that nature is something to protect, not something to scare away.
