ZAA Accreditation – Exceeding Standards

Dreamworld is proudly accredited by the Zoo and Aquarium Association (ZAA), recognising our commitment to the highest standards of animal welfare. Assessed every three years, we go beyond legal requirements through the Five Domains Model to ensure best-practice care.

The Five Domains of Animal Welfare

Animal welfare is constantly evolving, and Dreamworld remains at the forefront of best practices. Moving beyond the traditional Five Freedoms, we embrace the Five Domains Model, which considers every aspect of an animal’s physical, emotional, and mental well-being. This modern approach helps us create environments where animals don’t just survive—they thrive..

Why We Do It

Education and awareness: Our wildlife encounters and presentations inspire guests to protect endangered species and habitats. Conservation breeding: We support breeding programs for species like bilbies, koalas, and tigers, helping boost populations. Fundraising for wildlife: Proceeds from our animal experiences directly support the Dreamworld Wildlife Foundation (DWF) and global conservation efforts.
