We designed and created our scarecrow to represent the natural world and human technological advancement. We decorated the scarecrow with half natural materials and half repurposed materials that show technological advancement. Examples of natural materials we used are hessian, moss, leaves and sticks. We also created Australian wildlife ornaments out of clay such as koalas, kangaroos and a crocodile. Examples of computer technology materials we used are foil (reused from lunch wrappings) and computer cords no longer useful .We believe using modern technology will support a sustainable future, ensuring our natural resources do not deplete. For example, with new technology emerging so fast, we think the natural resource of sunlight will be used to our advantage. By harnessing this natural light, we will be able to successfully grow plants and trees at an incredibly rapid rate, much faster than this occurs currently. Also, in the future, smart technology could constantly monitor our water and automatically clean it whenever pollution is detected. This would help keep our renewable water resources clean and safe for people, animals and the environment. 

We believe our design and meaning are innovative because we have not only thought about how we can protect our environment today, but also how future technology could help solve environmental problems and create a more sustainable future.
