About the Tree Kangaroo
Meet the Lumholtz’s tree kangaroo — one of Australia’s most unique rainforest residents. Found only in the tropical forests of North Queensland, these shy marsupials spend most of their lives high in the treetops, expertly climbing, leaping, and balancing through the canopy.
With their thick fur, strong limbs, and long tails, tree kangaroos are perfectly adapted for life above the forest floor. Rarely seen in the wild, they’re a true icon and a remarkable reminder of Australia’s incredible wildlife.
