For one week this August, Australia’s biggest theme park is swapping its name.
In the lead-up to the One New Zealand Warriors’ clash with the Gold Coast Titans, Dreamworld will transform into Wahsworld — a full-scale park takeover built for one of rugby league’s most passionate fanbases.
Dreamworld and the One New Zealand Warriors have partnered to create ‘Wahsworld’ each time the team travels to the Gold Coast to face the Titans over the next three years — turning an away game into an unmissable fan experience.
In a bold celebration of fandom and connection, the park will come alive with Warriors pride — bringing the passionate Kiwi community across the Gold Coast and Southeast Queensland together in one unforgettable place.
The partnership kicks off in the week leading up to the club’s Round 22 match against the Gold Coast Titans at Cbus Super Stadium on Saturday, August 1.
Game day centrepiece: march, watch and celebrate
The centrepiece lands on game day, Saturday 1 August, when fans are invited to march down Dreamworld’s Main Street behind Warriors flags and drums — before a live watch party for the Warriors v Titans showdown at nearby Cbus Super Stadium.
For Kiwi supporters, the drawcard is simple: New Zealand passport holders and One New Zealand Warriors members will receive discounted entry for Saturday, August 1, turning a single away game into a full Gold Coast Day.
A park transformation
The temporary rebrand to ‘Wahsworld’ will feature a packed line-up of fan experiences, pop-ups and in-park moments designed to capture the energy of the Warriors fanbase and elevate game week into a full-scale celebration.
Across the week, the transformation will extend park-wide, including:
· The Dreamworld Tower lit in Warriors colours
· The club’s crest featured on the M1 billboard, reaching more than 160,000 cars daily
· Dreamworld mascots Kenny and Belinda suited up in full Warriors kit
Fans can also explore:
· A One New Zealand Warriors pop-up merchandise store, building on the runaway success of the club’s Brisbane Magic Round activation
· Exclusive in-park moments and fan experiences
· A vibrant night market takeover with Kiwi-inspired food, music and post-game celebrations
Saturday, August 1: From march to night market: an all-day fan experience
On Saturday, August 1, ‘Wahsworld’ will host both the game-day march and official watch party, before rolling into an evening celebration through Dreamworld’s night market — creating a full-day experience for fans to connect, celebrate and back their team together.
Building community beyond the event
Dreamworld will further support both the One New Zealand Warriors and the Warriors Inspire Logan Academy by providing passes for fans and participants — helping make the experience more accessible and supporting grassroots pathways within the community.
The partnership also extends beyond the park gates, with Dreamworld backing the Warriors Inspire Logan Academy through discounted access for participants and their families.
